Hello all,
Another great week here! We've seen more miracles. This past week we started teaching two part member families. The first family is the Hernandez family. The husband has been a member for a little over a year and his wife and 14 year old daughter are now showing interest in learning more. We had a good lesson with them this weekend and we have another one tonight.
The second family is the Haliburtons. Both the mother and her 16 year old son have been baptized. Derrick (the son) was baptized in November and his mother was interested, took the lessons, and he was able to baptize her in December. She has two teenage daughters who previously weren't interested but this past week we went over and had a lesson and both of the girls stayed the entire time.
Yesterday was a great fast and testimony meeting and both of these families came to church together. We love it when people make the gospel apart of their lives but we love it even more when families can enjoy the blessings of the gospel together so Sister Boyd and I are really excited to be be teaching these families.
Now that I'm a missionary I always get a little nervous when fast and testimony meeting begins if we have investigators coming. But yesterday the Spirit was really strong and everyone who shared their testimony brought their experiences back to the Savior and to Heavenly Father so it was really good and our investigators seemed to like all of the meetings.
Nothing else really new or exciting, that comes close to this anyway. But things continue to go well here. It's been raining a lot. Somtimes it's cold but for the most part it's not too bad.
I do want to ask you all to possibly helo me in thinking of questions to ask the apostle that's coming a week from Saturday. I don't know if I told you already but it's been opened up to the entire mission so everyone will get to be there. I've been thinking and I'll have to think harder this week but I don't really know what to ask him. If ya'll have any ideas feel free to let me know.
I love you and hope you have a great week! :)
